Chiropractic

Chiropractors are musculoskeletal specialists who are trained to diagnose and treat disorders of the joints, muscles and nerves throughout the body. Chiropractors use a range of hands-on techniques including, but not limited to, soft tissue work, joint manipulation or mobilisation, dry needling/acupuncture, exercise prescription and sports taping.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy helps loosen your muscles, improving mobility and relieving tension.

Massage can be used as a standalone service, but works exceptionally well when combined with chiropractic care.

When combined with chiropractic, your chiropractor will liaise with your massage therapist for best results.

Dr David Cooper, MChiro DC PGDip

David is a partner at Worcester Chiropractic Clinic.

David qualified as a chiropractor in 2011 from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic.

Despite popping over the border to complete his degree, David was born and raised in Gloucester.

Since qualifying as a chiropractor David has worked in Manchester and Worcester, specialising in the treatment of sports injuries and athletes.

The list of competitors that David has worked with includes athletes from nearly every background, encompassing virtually every sport imaginable.

He has worked extensively with rowing clubs, assisting in the development of elite performance programmes as well as leading injury and rehabilitation services.

From 2013-18, David led an injury prevention programme for a top-level ballet school, helping reduce injury rates by over 50% in the first 18 months.

David also holds a post-graduate diploma in football medicine and has treated a number of professional players who self-refer for help with acute and chronic injury problems.

In 2021, two of his patients competed in the Tokyo Olympics and another in the Paralympics.

His approach, that the goal should be to get your body working as efficiently as possible, rather than just doing enough to fix an injury, means that he is very highly regarded as a sports-chiropractor for patients of all levels.

You do not need to be injured or in pain to see David. If you are looking for help improving your level of performance or are trying to prevent injuries before they occur, get in touch.

Chiropractor Andy joined Worcester Chiropractic Clinic in 2019.

After injuring his lower back whilst deadlifting, Andy had treatment from a chiropractor who managed to fix his problem.

Andy was so impressed by this experience that he embarked on a five year Masters’ degree at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic.

After graduating, Andy worked at a multi-disciplinary clinic, practicing alongside podiatrists, radiographers and musculoskeletal specialists. This has given Andy fantastic exposure to the full spectrum of cases a chiropractor can expect to see.

Andy has also spent time leading a golf performance optimisation programme, helping golfers of all levels to avoid injury and enhance their game.

While Andy has experience treating a wide range of patients, he is hoping to build on his sports and rehabilitation expertise, and has a particular interest in disorders of the shoulder.

Beth is a partner at Worcester Chiropractic Clinic.

She joined Worcester Chiropractic Clinic in August 2017. Prior to this, Beth had been practising in Bournemouth for four years. Beth is a graduate of the Anglo-European College of Chiropractors (AECC).

During her time in practice, Beth has accrued a number of post-graduate qualifications. She has achieved accreditation in dry-needling, sports taping, dynamic neuromuscular stabilisation and others.

To have achieved so much in such a short space of time is a fitting testament to the attitude and enthusiasm that Beth applies to her work.

Among Beth’s clinical interests is the treatment of pregnant and paediatric patients. The care of children in particular is a very specialist remit and we are very lucky to have such a safe pair of hands as Beth’s at Worcester Chiropractic Clinic.

Beth has completed a high level of post-graduate study in the care of pregnant patients and is something of an authority on the subject in Worcestershire, working with numerous maternity practitioners.

Beth is also a registered trainer with the Royal College of Chiropractors, providing post-graduate training and mentoring to other chiropractors.
